Enquiry Form Submission
Begin your child’s journey with us by completing the Enquiry Form below. Once we receive your details, a member of our Admissions Team will be in touch to learn more about your family and explain the next steps.

School Visit
After submitting the Enquiry Form, we warmly invite you to visit our school, either in person or virtually. This is an excellent opportunity to explore our campus, meet our team, and gain a deeper understanding of our educational approach.
We welcome visitors throughout the school year, enabling you to see the school in full operation. Visits should be booked in advance using the link below.

Application & Assessments
To begin your application, you will be asked to complete the Admissions Form and provide the required documentation.
For applicants from Year 3, an online CAT4 (Cognitive Abilities Test) is arranged. Please note that the CAT4 assessment carries a non-refundable fee of €30.
Our Admissions Team will guide you on whether tests can be taken in person or online. If you have any questions about whether your child should take the test, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Admissions Committee Decision
Between one and three weeks after you complete the admissions process, we will be in touch to share the Admissions Committee’s decision.
If you receive an offer, we will send you the information needed to reserve your child’s place.

Offer Acceptance
To confirm your child’s place, a bank transfer must be completed for the amount indicated for the relevant year or section. Our team will guide you through this step to ensure everything is completed smoothly. Afterwards, your child will be officially enrolled at The British School of Madrid.
Additional Information
In the weeks leading up to the start of the academic year, we will share further information, including next steps, meetings, and information sessions. This will help you and your child become familiar with the school, meet teachers, and feel confident as you join our school community.
Our Dual Qualification System
Please note that our school is considered to be an Approved Foreign Centre in which the British System is taught and is governed by Royal Decree 806/1993, of 28th May, on the regime of Foreign Teaching Centres in Spain. Pupils take the subjects of the British curriculum together with Spanish Language and Culture, which accounts for approximately 20% of the weekly timetable. At the end of Secondary Education (Year 11), we apply for the homologation of studies for our pupils so that they obtain the Compulsory Secondary Education qualification (ESO) from the Spanish Ministry of Education.
Admissions Tests
Applicants for Years 3 to 12 complete a CAT4 (Cognitive Abilities Test). Interviews in English and/or Spanish may also be arranged, depending on the applicant. Each application is reviewed individually, and parents will be informed if any additional assessments or interviews are required.
